Parent Community Networking Center (PCNC)
Every public school has a position for a Parent Facilitator in the Parent Community Networking Center (PCNC). Although the roles differ in each individual school, the goals are all the same. Studies show that children thrive in schools where parents are highly involved in their child’s education. Your involvement is not only welcomed and encouraged, it is at the heart of your child’s success.
Amy Solomon is the Parent Facilitator in the PCNC. As the Parent Facilitator, she serves to create partnerships among Aikahi’s families, staff and community to build a sense of family within the school. `Aikahi’s PCNC is designed as a place within the school where parents can come to find out what’s happening in the school, and what they can do to help.
